Biography
George is a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in Corporate Finance at the ICMA Centre. Prior to this post he was a Lecturer and deputy director of MSc Programmes at Durham Business School. He is an independent M&A advisor and has also worked as a stock market analyst.
He holds a BSc in Business Finance and Economics and an MA in Economics and Finance from University of East Anglia and an MSc in International Money, Finance and Investment and a PhD in Finance from Durham University.
George teaches equity valuation and corporate finance at post-graduate level and runs equity analysis executive courses for corporate clients.
His research is on merger waves, takeover premiums and value creation through M&As and is presented every year in several European and US conferences.
