Biography

George is a Lecturer in Finance at the ICMA Centre, Henley Business School. Prior to this post he was a Lecturer and deputy director of MSc Programmes at Durham Business School. He has also worked as a stock market analyst and acted as an independent M&A advisor.

He holds a BSc in Business Finance and Economics and an MA in Economics and Finance from University of East Anglia and an MSc in International Money, Finance and Investment and a PhD in Finance from Durham University. 

He has published in international journals and his main research interests lie in Mergers and Acquisitions and Corporate Finance. His research, which is presented in several European and US conferences, looks into factors that determine takeover premiums and value creation from M&As.
