California dreaming: Venture Capital Performance reviewed

Keith Arundale

Dr Keith Arundale's new book Venture Capital Performance: a comparative study of investment practices in Europe and the USA has been reviewed in the ICAEW Corporate Financier magazine.

The book is based on PhD research by Dr Arundale and takes a qualitative
approach, which saw him interviewing members of 64 venture capital firms in the UK, continental Europe and the US, as well as LP investors, corporate venturers, entrepreneurs and advisers.

It looks at the success of the US, and argues that “there is a need for quite fundamental changes in both the practice of European investors and in the wider ecosystem”.

The book is published by Routledge.
