Yi holds a MSc degree in Accounting and Financial Management from Management School, Lancaster University in 2018/2019. She won Lancaster Award during master’s study and was offered CFA scholarship from CFA Institute in December 2019.

Yi is currently a Doctoral Researcher in Finance at the ICMA centre supervised by Dr Carol Padgett and Dr Chao Yin. Her research interests include Empirical Corporate Finance, Corporate governance and Corporate Social Responsibility. She is also working as a teaching assistant for the modules of Mergers and Acquisitions, Securities, Futures and Options and Introductory Securities and Markets for postgraduates and Year 1 undergraduates at Reading University.
