Specialisms

Tim has worked for over three decades in banking in the City of London. A Londoner by birth and residence, Tim has travelled extensively, working with clients and regulators. At various times he has specialised in mortgage financing, helped banks raise capital and worked on aspects of banking regulation.

He was on the board of the International Capital Market Association (ICMA) for over six years and has also chaired an aviation museum in Coventry. He is currently a Senior Adviser to the ICMA, while also chairing the Investor Working Group on Bail-in. After studying languages at Cambridge, Tim spent much of his working life engaging with clients across Europe, particularly in Germany, Scandinavia and France. He has also worked extensively with regulators and clients in North America and more recently was involved in managing teams in India.

Tim has been a frequent speaker at industry conferences besides chairing panels and speaker forums. He has published several articles on various aspects of finance, and was a speaker for Stronger In during the referendum campaign before going on to act as Interim Chair of ‘Britain For Europe’, a grassroots organisation opposed to the UK leaving the EU.
