David Knapp is a senior financial markets expert with over 20 years trading experience as an investment banker. He now teaches banking and finance graduates in the corporate world and in the university sector; specialising in Financial Markets, Investment Management, Foreign Exchange, Futures, Options, Fixed Income, Trading simulations and Technical Analysis.
Prior to becoming a full time trainer in 2007, David was an Executive Director for the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC London) as a market maker in US and Canadian Government bonds. He also went on to manage the $1 billion liquidity investment bond portfolio for the bank’s Treasury department.
Before that he was a graduate recruit at HSBC in London and worked his way up trading FX and Money Markets to become a Vice President for the Primary Dealer responsible for market making US Treasuries to HSBC’s extensive customer base.
David has a BSc. in Management Science from the London School of Economics. He is a qualified teacher (PGCHE) and financial technical analyst (MSTA) and holds the IMC, Investment Management Certificate from the CFA and has a CertPFS – a certificate in financial planning from the CII.
