Alessio is pursuing his PhD at the ICMA Centre under the supervision of Dr Simone Varotto and Dr Alfonso Dufour.
His research interests are mainly focussed on the field of Climate Finance, and he is collaborating with the Department of Meteorology at the University of Reading to understand how financial markets can be used to hedge climate change risks.
Alessio holds a BSc in Banking and Finance from Roma Tre University and an MSc in Economics and Finance (cum laude) from Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. During his Masters, he participated in the Italian CFA Institute Research Challenge. He also worked as research assistant for the VERA Centre in a project related to the domain of Sustainable Finance.
Alessio is currently a Teaching Assistant for Introductory Quantitative Techniques for Business and Finance and Credit Risk modules.
