Mo Zhang Receives European Accounting Association (EAA) Award
Our PhD student, Mo Zhang, has received the European Accounting Association (EAA) Award at the British Accounting and Finance Association (BAFA) Annual Conference with Doctoral Masterclasses 2026, held at Aston University from 14th-16th April.
Mo presented her paper, “Digital Reporting and Disclosure Complexity Management: Evidence from iXBRL Mandate” (co-authored with her supervisor, Dr. Jessica Yang), at the conference. The EAA Award is highly competitive, with only two awards granted in 2026, and is assessed by an independent panel of BAFA.
As part of the award, recipients are granted two years of EAA membership, partial funding to attend the EAA Annual Congress in 2027, and an invitation to the EAA PhD Forum in the following year. In addition, awardees are eligible to participate in the ARC Peer Mentoring Initiative, which offers further support for academic development and international research engagement through mentoring and feedback from leading accounting scholars.
This is a fantastic achievement, and many congratulations to Mo on this well-deserved recognition!
