Congratulations to the ICMA Centre's latest graduates

The weather was just perfect on Thursday 5 July 2012 for the ICMA Centre's graduation ceremonies.

Over 300 students from the ICMA Centre graduated and now join our almost 3500 strong global alumni community that includes over 125 nationalities and reached 115 countries around the world.

Annual PhD Student Presentations at the ICMA Centre

Doctoral researchers and academics at the ICMA Centre were especially busy this week with the annual PhD presentations taking place on Thursday and Friday. Each year, every doctoral researcher in the ICMA Centre provides an outline of the progress they have made in 20 minute conference-style presentations moderated and assessed by academic faculty and followed up by lively discussions and suggestions for improvements made by peers.

Strategic risk shifting and idiosyncratic volatility

A recent research paper, “Strategic risk shifting and idiosyncratic volatility”, by Dr Nicholas Chen with his co-authors, has been accepted for presentation at the 2015 Western Finance Association Meetings. The conference is highly prestigious with an acceptance rate from submitted papers of only 8%.

High-achieving MSc Students scoop Eurekahedge Prize

Two of the ICMA Centres top performing MSc students were awarded with the Eurekahedge prize. First place was awarded to Vladimir Zdorovenin, MSc International Securities and Investment Banking, with Duncan Green, studying on the MSc Investment Management programme as the runner-up.
