The Investment Society
The ICMA Centre Student Investment Society was established in October 2006 at the initiative of several students with the aid of Dr Jacques Pezier.
Last year 32 students invested £100 each and when it was redeemed in May, the share was worth £149.44. The equivalent yearly return (given that the fund operated for half a year) is 123%. The students left more than £400 as a donation which will be reinvested and eventually used for whatever good causes they and the faculty will decide in the future. The group has lively weekly meetings during which they work together and use their knowledge and experience to run a sensible investment portfolio.
