Undergraduate Scholarships and Prizes

ICMA Centre Scholarship

The ICMA Centre offers scholarships of £2000 each to students who achieve 360 UCAS points (three A grades) from the three A-Levels used for entry (not to include General Studies).

International Equivalents:

  • Grades AAAAB in Scottish Highers
  • Grades DDD in the BTEC National Diploma
  • Grades A1A1A1A1B1 in the Irish Leaving Certificate
  • A total of 37 points in the International Baccalaureate including a score of at least 7, 6 and 6 in each of the three Higher level subjects
  • An overall score of at least 14 out of 20 in the French Baccalaureate
  • An overall score of at least 75% in the European Baccalaureate

 

The CISI Stephen Cooke Scholarship Programme

The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment's (CISI) Educational Trust sponsors the commemorative Stephen Cooke Scholarship programme, which grants two Premier scholarships of £5,000 each and one General scholarship of £3,000. These scholarships are only available to CISI accredited Centres of Excellence, which are an elite group of universities including ourselves, selected by the CISI as offering leadership in academic education, focused on financial markets. These prestigious awards commemorate the late Stephen Cooke, former Senior Partner of the stock broking firm Gerrard Vivian Gray.

The awards are made on the basis of three factors:

  • Submission of an essay
  • General knowledge test
  • Panel interview

Entry Criteria

Applicants need to be a registered student at an CISI Centre of Excellence and:

  • entering their second year as an undergraduate, OR first year as a postgraduate student, enrolled on a specified course at CISI's designated Centres of Excellence (the BSc is a specified course)
  • born in the UK OR born in the EU and can provide evidence that they intend to work for a minimum of three years in the UK
  • the student must not have a previous winner under the CISI Scholarship scheme.
