Studying at the ICMA Centre offers a unique opportunity for combining applied finance theory and industry specific training, with considerable professional and academic expertise.
With our innovative learning environment, including three dealing rooms – the largest facility of its kind in Europe - students learn how markets really function and apply theory through simulations.
The Centre also boasts two large lecture theatres, several seminar rooms and a dedicated research area. In addition, the Centre is fitted with state-of-the-art audio and visual technology allowing us to pod-cast and stream our lecture content.

Research
Research at the ICMA Centre focuses on quantitative finance, market microstructure, fund management, risk management and regulation (full list of research areas). Since 2000 our faculty have published about 20 books, and numerous publications: over 70 academic papers, and over 50 articles in professional journals, nearly 30 professional reports and a large number of book chapters.
The ICMA Centre regularly provides research and consultancy services to financial institutions and government agencies. Recent research projects have included Regulatory and Policy Research, Risk Management and Investment, Insurance and Operations Management.
