Biography

Luciano holds a MSc. in International Securities, Investment and Banking from the ICMA Centre where he graduated with distinction after being awarded an ICMA Centre scholarship. He obtained a Master in Finance and completed the coursework of a Master in Applied Statistics at the Universidad Nacional de Rosario in Argentina. He also has a BSc. in Business Administration and a BSc. in Accounting at UCEL University in Argentina. He achieved the professional certifications International Fixed Income and Derivatives (IFID) Certificate and Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) Diploma.

He has worked as a trader and financial derivatives analyst and he has several years of experience as a consultant in the area of ​​accounting and finance. He also has more than five years of teaching experience in Argentina. Luciano is a former president of the Finance Commission at the Professional Council of Economic Sciences in Rosario, Argentina and a member of the Argentine Society of Financial Management Professors. In 2006, Luciano was recognised by the Junior Chamber International as one of the top outstanding young person of the Province of Santa Fe in Argentina in the category leadership and academic achievement.

Luciano is the author of SimulAr® (www.simularsoft.com.ar), a well-known Monte Carlo simulation Excel add-in widely used by students, academics, analysts and practitioners around the world. His work has been presented at various seminars and conferences in Latin America. He is also the author of the book Simulación de Modelos Financieros (Simulating Financial Models), ISBN: 978-987-33-0705-8.

He is currently pursuing his PhD. in Finance, having received a full scholarship jointly granted by the Capital Markets Cooperative Research Centre (CMCRC) and the ICMA Centre, and also sponsored by the Financial Services Authority (FSA), where he actively collaborates with the Transaction and Monitoring Unit. He is under the supervision of Dr. Alfonso Dufour working in the area of market microstructure, particularly on topics related to the detection of market abuse, market manipulation and surveillance systems.
