Open Days

We have a number of open days each year for both our postgraduate and undergraduate courses. If you are unable to attend one of these you are welcome to contact us to arrange visits on an individual basis – please call 0118 378 8239 for more details.

Visit Day for Offer Holders Only

If you don't manage to make it to one of our Taster Day s, if you apply for our BSc Finance and Investment Banking we hold a Visit Day each March for offer holders - the 2012 Visit Day is on 2 dates in February and March. You will receive details of the Visit Day and how to book a place in your official offer letter from the University. If you have not received this by mid-February please email our marketing team who will reserve a place for you.

BSc Taster Days

Alongside the University's undergraduate open days our own Open days are held at the ICMA Centre which are designed to give you an enjoyable and informative introduction to the exciting field of world finance and our innovative BSc programme. However you do need to Book a place and arrive early.

Saturday 22 June 2012

10.00 - 10.15	Register and Welcome Refreshments will be available throughout the morning
10.15 - 11.00	Introduction to the BSc, the ICMA Centre and the University of Reading An overview of the degree as well as an introduction to the ICMA Centre and the University
11.00 - 12.00	INVEST Dealing Room Session - Prizes to be won! Get a taste of what it’s like on the trading floor, when Doctoral Researcher Satchit Sagade guides you through a simulated dealing session
12.00 - 12.30	Careers in the Financial Markets Graham Philpott from our Career Development team will give you an overview of the service we offer our students as well as some tips on gaining a job in the financial markets Admissions - How to Apply Our Admissions Officer will give you guidance on our entry requirements and how to apply
12.30 - 13.30	Buffet Lunch and your opportunity to ask any further questions

After lunch you are free to attend the Central talks provided by the university including Accommodation and Student Finance. The university has recruited many student ambassadors who will be available to give you tours of the campus and take you to visit one or two halls of residence.

Tea, coffee and beverages will be available throughout the morning to our guests and we provide a buffet lunch at 12.30. There are also several other cafés on campus, which will be open throughout the day. For more information download the University's General Programme of Events.

We are buildings 71 and 117 as shown on the campus map - you need to report to building 117.

Due to the popularity of these Taster Days it is recommended to register as soon as possible. Register online , or email marketing@icmacentre.ac.uk. Please check the BSc's entry requirements to ensure you have the relevant predicted subjects and grades to apply.
